I write for the stage, screen, and games, exploring history and near-history through humor and play. My work centers on structure, voice, and the systems that shape how stories function.
I developed my relationship to reading and writing through media. Story-rich games and books with playful mechanics were what first turned the key in my ignition. Crafting a voice that could do the intended job became a guiding principle.
Training in playwriting, comedy, and sketch strengthened my point of view and sharpened the perspectives of my characters. Underneath that training rests a persistent curiosity about the systems that underpin writing itself. I am drawn to the origins of language and to the understanding that communication will never be perfectly precise. That tension defines much of what I write and will continue to explore.
